 Position Overview
As an Estimator with ServiceMaster TRS, you will play a crucial role in our mission to help clients rebuild and recover after disasters. You will be responsible for accurately assessing restoration needs, creating precise estimates, and ensuring compliance with industry and insurance program standards. You will work closely with branch teams, technicians, and insurance adjusters to advocate for fair compensation, provide timely and reliable estimates, and contribute to the success of restoration projects. 

This is a remote position offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative, supportive environment while helping communities recover from the unexpected. 

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Accurate Estimating and Program Compliance
    • Develop detailed estimates using Xactimate, Symbility, and other industry software.  
    • Ensure all estimates align with insurance program guidelines and Service Level Agreements.
    • Partner with branch personnel to gather on-site details and supporting documentation.  
    • Advocate for fair compensation through effective negotiations with adjusters and auditors.  
    • Submit complete and accurate estimates within 24 hours of job completion.  
  2. Project Oversight and Documentation  
    • Monitor assigned jobs from initiation to invoicing to ensure adherence to guidelines.  
    • Maintain organized records of estimates, approvals, communications, and job statuses.  
    • Validate estimates for accuracy and compliance, ensuring profitable margins.  
  3. Training and Continuous Improvement
    • Conduct training for branch personnel on estimating procedures and compliance standards.  
    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive pricing, and program changes.
    • Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.  
  4. Client and Stakeholder Communication
    • Represent ServiceMaster TRS with professionalism in all interactions.
    • Communicate regularly with clients, adjusters, auditors, and vendors.
    • Resolve estimate disputes with adjusters or clients using problem-solving and negotiation skills.  
  5. Administrative Support and Collaboration
    • Accurately log work time and ensure compliance with company policies. 
    • Utilize field staff documentation (e.g., photos, drying data, job notes) to develop estimates.
    • Create supplemental estimates as project scope or client needs change.  
Qualifications
  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred; IICRC certifications (WRT, FSRT, ASD) a plus.  
  • Experience: 2+ years in disaster restoration, with expertise in residential and commercial estimating preferred.  
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Xactimate, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), MICA mobility, and related tools.  
  • Other Requirements: Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills. 
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
