We are seeking an experienced Mitigation Operations Manager to lead our water, fire, mold, structural cleaning, and emergency-service operations in the Charlotte area. This is a hands-on leadership role for an organized, accountable professional who can manage people, oversee multiple active projects, maintain accurate documentation, deliver an excellent customer experience, and drive department profitability.
- Own mitigation projects from initial response through completion, including scopes, production plans, schedules, labor, equipment, documentation, and job costs
- Lead, train, and hold the mitigation team accountable for productivity, quality, safety, documentation, and customer service
- Ensure projects are properly scoped, documented, monitored, and completed according to company and IICRC standards
- Inspect work at key stages and require corrections before equipment removal, project completion, or billing
- Keep customers, adjusters, property managers, referral partners, and internal teams informed about timelines, changes, and concerns
- Manage job costs against budget, document scope changes, and ensure files are complete and ready for estimating and billing
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop mitigation team members
- Coordinate emergency-response coverage and ensure the department is properly staffed, equipped, and prepared
- Experience in water mitigation, fire and smoke restoration, mold remediation, structural drying, or disaster recovery
- Proven record managing employees, schedules, and multiple active projects
- Strong understanding of mitigation scopes, drying documentation, job costs, and project profitability
- Strong leadership, organization, accountability, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Clear, professional communication with customers, adjusters, property managers, vendors, and internal teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven emergency-services environment
- IICRC certifications, restoration-management software experience, and estimating experience are strongly preferred
