General Technician - Laborer

About the Role:
1-800 WATER DAMAGE of McKinney and Frisco is looking for a motivated General Tech/Labor team member to join our growing restoration crew! This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in helping homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, and other property damage. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real difference in people's lives, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Assist with water damage mitigation, drying, and extraction on residential and commercial job sites
- Assist with Setting up, monitor, and break down drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, moisture meters and other various items/tools
- Perform demolition tasks such as removing damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation(can also include tile, framing, cabinets, stairs etc)
- Load, unload, and maintain restoration equipment and company vehicles(solo or assiting other team members)
- Follow safety protocols and industry standards on every job site(must be able to read and understand SOP's)
- Assist lead technicians with mold remediation and fire/smoke cleanup as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment on all job sites
Requirements:
- No prior restoration experience required — on-the-job training provided
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting 25-75+ lbs and working in tight or confined spaces
- Strong work ethic with a positive, team-first attitude
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts
- Strong communication skills and a customer-friendly demeanor
- IICRC certification a plus, but not required - opportunity to advance and become certified!!

Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
