Sales Representative & Client Relations Coordinator — Mold Remediation & Indoor Air Quality

(ACAC Certification & Profession Training Provided)

We are the nation's leading mold testing, remediation and indoor air quality franchise. Our Asheville team helps homeowners and businesses owners solve mold problems, encapsulate crawlspaces, and take back control of the air they breathe — often for people dealing with real health struggles tied to their homes. We're not just fixing houses, we're helping people feel safe and well again.

We're hiring a Sales Representative & Client Relations Coordinator to meet with homeowners, diagnose air quality and moisture issues, and close deals that make a real difference in people's lives — while also owning the customer relationship from first call through job completion. This is a primarily field-based, relationship-driven sales role with an office-based scheduling, base plus commission style structure, and customer relations component. Full time, W2.

What You'll Do:

Sales (Primary Focus)

  • Conduct in-home inspections (including crawlspaces and basements) to assess mold, moisture, and air quality issues
  • Gather accurate data on-site for building comprehensive project estimates
  • Present solutions clearly to homeowners — many of whom are stressed, confused, or dealing with mold-related health concerns
  • Close sales and manage your pipeline from lead to signed contract
  • Walk customers through scope of work, warranty terms, deposit collection, and job-prep expectations before crews arrive
  • Build referral relationships with realtors, home inspectors, medical/wellness practitioners and additional referall partners in the area
  • Track annual crawlspace encapsulation customers and proactively schedule their annual check-ins (email, then phone follow-up) to drive repeat and renewal business
  • Represent the Green Home Solutions brand with integrity, professionalism, and genuine care for the customer

Client Relations & Scheduling (Supporting Function)

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers before and after the sale — answering questions, confirming job-prep, and coordinating logistics
  • Manage scheduling for your own pipeline of inspections and jobs, minimizing drive time between visits
  • Confirm walk-throughs at job start and completion, and leave clear handoff notes for the crew so every job transition is seamless
  • Field customer complaints and warranty issues, gather thorough information, and coach customers on simple self-maintenance (monitoring humidity, changing batteries/filters) when appropriate
  • Monitor and respond to customer text messages (Grasshopper app) and confirm upcoming visits by phone
  • Collect payment for mold testing (before lab results go out), inspections (before report/proposal delivery), and job deposits
What We're Looking For

  • Sales experience required — background in home construction or renovation is a plus
  • Comfortable in crawlspaces and less-than-glamorous field conditions
  • Strong communicator who can translate technical/scientific information (mold, moisture, air quality) into plain language for homeowners
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage your own schedule and pipeline
  • Excellent phone presence — able to build trust and calm with someone who's stressed about a health issue in their home
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, comfortable owning both a sales pipeline and a scheduling calendar with a lot of moving parts
  • Empathy and patience — many customers are anxious or overwhelmed when they call us
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable with basic office/scheduling software and text-based customer communication tools
What We Offer

  • Full-time W2 position
  • Extensive on-the-job training, plus support in earning your ACAC Indoor Air Quality Specialist certification
  • Growth potential within a well-known, expanding national franchise
  • A role with real ownership over both the sale and the customer relationship — you're not just closing deals, you're the anchor of the customer experience from first call to completed job
  • Pay: Base + Commission structure — TBD
  • Benefits — Options include PTO, vehicle allowance/gas, phone stipend, etc.
Why This Role Is Different

This isn't transactional sales. You're solving real problems for real people — often people who've been sick and don't know why until they find us. You'll own the relationship from the first phone call through the signed contract and beyond, which means the trust you build directly drives your success. If you want to sell something you can feel genuinely good about, and you want the income potential — and relationship depth — that comes with being excellent at it, this is the seat.
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
