Paul Davis is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role works closely with the Controller and plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. 


The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment where accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement are valued. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization while developing expertise across a broad range of accounting functions. 


What You'll Do
 

  • Prepare accurate weekly and monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP. 
  • Perform account reconciliations, including cash, vendor credit, and balance sheet accounts. 
  • Reconcile and record corporate credit card activity. 
  • Analyze monthly budget variances and provide financial insights. 
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes. 
  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting activities. 
  • Help maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls. 
  • Support annual CPA reviews and audit preparation. 
  • Partner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Job Cost Accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting. 
  • Collaborate with the Controller on process improvements and special projects. 

What We're Looking For
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. 
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. 
  • Experience with account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation. 
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online and Bill.com preferred.
