RESTORATION / MITIGATION PROJECT MANAGER

SERVPRO Team JRF — Salem, MA

Full-Time | Direct Hire | $90,000–$110,000 Total Compensation

 ABOUT SERVPRO TEAM JRF

SERVPRO Team JRF is an independently owned, multi-location restoration franchise serving residential and commercial customers across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Our Salem, MA office is the hub of our Massachusetts operations, handling water damage mitigation, fire and smoke restoration, mold remediation, and large-loss commercial projects for insurance carriers and their policyholders.
We are an insurance-carrier preferred vendor. We run year-round — not seasonally — and we invest in the people who make our jobs run right. If you have been doing restoration work and want a company that understands what the job actually takes, this is worth reading.

 IS THIS YOU?

You have been in restoration for at least three years. You know how to run a water or fire job from first notice of loss to final invoice. You write Xactimate scopes, you manage crews and subs, and you know how to move a file forward with an adjuster without losing the relationship. You are looking for a company that pays what the role is worth and gets out of your way so you can do the job.

If that sounds right, keep reading.

 THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Restoration / Mitigation Project Manager based out of our Salem, MA office. You will own a portfolio of Massachusetts jobs — managing field crews, communicating with insurance adjusters and property owners, writing and negotiating Xactimate and Symbility scopes, and making sure every project closes on time, on budget, and to standard.

Total compensation is $90,000 – $110,000 (base salary plus performance bonus), which reflects what we expect from this role: experienced, independent, and accountable. This is not a training position. We need someone who already knows how restoration jobs run.

 WHAT YOU WILL DO

Manage water damage mitigation, fire/smoke restoration, and mold remediation projects from initial response through job close

Serve as the primary contact for property owners, insurance adjusters, and TPAs throughout the project lifecycle

Write, submit, and negotiate Xactimate and Symbility scopes, supplements, and change orders

Schedule, direct, and supervise field crews and subcontractors across active Massachusetts job sites

Conduct moisture mapping, psychrometric readings, and daily monitoring documentation on mitigation jobs

Ensure all work meets IICRC S500 and S520 standards and carrier program requirements

Maintain complete, real-time job documentation: photos, moisture readings, daily logs, authorizations, and certificates of completion

Communicate proactively with adjusters and TPAs to move files forward and avoid approval delays

Manage materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs to protect job-level gross margin

Identify and capture supplemental scope on active jobs

Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours emergency response

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 3 years of hands-on project management experience in the property restoration industry — water, fire, or mold (not general construction)

Demonstrated experience writing and managing Xactimate or Symbility estimates

Working knowledge of IICRC S500 (WRT) and S520 (AMRT) standards

Experience managing insurance adjuster and TPA relationships and navigating the carrier billing process

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record — required to operate company vehicles

Clean background — background check is a condition of employment

Ability to meet the physical demands of the role: lifting, working in confined or wet environments, wearing appropriate PPE

 STRONGLY PREFERRED

Active IICRC WRT, ASD, or AMRT certification

Experience with carrier preferred vendor / TPA programs (Contractor Connection, Alacrity, PSA, or similar)

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30

Prior SERVPRO system experience

 COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Total compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 — base salary plus performance bonus tied to job cycle time, close rate, and gross margin

Company vehicle or vehicle allowance

Health, dental, and vision insurance

401(k) with employer match

Paid time off

Company-paid IICRC training and recertification — we invest in your credentials

WHY SERVPRO TEAM JRF

Year-round, consistent volume through insurance carrier relationships — not seasonal swings or storm-chasing

National brand, local ownership — you are a name here, not a number

Owners and leadership who came up in the trades and understand what a field PM actually needs to succeed

Real advancement opportunity as the company continues to grow across Massachusetts and New Hampshire

We pay for certifications and training that directly increase your earning potential and market value

$90,000–$110,000 total comp for a role that earns it — no games, no vague "competitive salary"

 HOW TO APPLY

Apply through this posting with your resume or a summary of your restoration experience — where you have worked, what types of jobs you have managed, and what certifications you hold. We review applications promptly and move quickly with qualified candidates.

If you do not have direct restoration project management experience, please do not apply. This role requires industry-specific knowledge from day one.
