Position Summary
A Mitigation Coach with Paul Davis will lead, coach, and develop the mitigation technician team to ensure operational excellence in field production, documentation, customer satisfaction, and equipment management.  They will be responsible for overseeing all staffing, technician progression, training, performance standards, accountability, and compliance with drying science and mitigation protocols.
The Mitigation Coach will also support operational objectives related to cycle time, scorecard compliance, customer experience, and departmental readiness.  They will also partner with leadership and Project Manager to maintain a high‑performing, well‑trained mitigation department capable of handling residential and commercial losses, while spending a significant amount of time in the field coaching and evaluating technicians.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Leadership, Coaching & Technician Development
  • Assign technicians to appropriate levels based on skills, certifications, and performance.
  • Manage the 90‑day new hire progression process.
  • Communicate technician career paths and hold team members accountable to their development.
  • Conduct monthly performance and behavior reviews with documentation.
  • Identify staffing needs three months in advance based on volume.
  • Manage technician hiring, onboarding, training, and termination.
  • Maintain a balanced mix of Helpers, Technicians, Leads, and Senior Leads to support workload.
  • Evaluate and coach technicians on documentation (RMS, MICA, Encircle, 12–24 hr reports).
  • Ensure ProAssist is used on every customer visit.
  • Support morale, accountability, and technician engagement.
Operational & Technical Oversight
  • Maintain equipment inventory through RMS tracking.
  • Investigate missing equipment and ensure proper field handling.
  • Forecast procurement needs based on projected volume.
  • Ensure all drying equipment is serviced, cleaned, and maintained per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Oversee truck loading, supply readiness, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure weekly moisture meter calibration checks are completed and documented.
  • Support overall mitigation performance metrics: cycle time, quality, scorecard compliance, customer satisfaction.
Required Industry Skills & Training
  • Strong understanding of drying science (psychrometrics, air movement, dehumidification).
  • Proficiency with MICA, Encircle, RMS, and moisture meters.
  • Ability to scope losses, write work orders, and oversee proper equipment installation.
  • Knowledge of fire, water, storm, mold, and environmental safety practices.
  • Experience training and coaching technicians in the field.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, PPE usage, and jobsite safety.
Preferred Certifications
  • IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT)
  • IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD)
  • IICRC Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT)
  • IICRC Odor Control (OCT) 
  • OSHA‑10 or OSHA‑30
  • First Aid / CPR

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $55,000–$65,000 per year, based on experience

Compensation: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
