Job summary
This job requires a high degree of specialized expertise, as well as the ability to maintain established quality standards. This person must be driven, determined, and self-disciplined, with a commitment to accurate, high-quality, and rapid results.

The job environment is structured, with clear job expectations. Although the pace of the work is faster than average, this person never compromises quality. They communicate and build relationships based on the technical aspects of the work.

The work requires specialized knowledge, as well as technical ingenuity. Someone in this role must be comfortable solving problems while adhering to approved organizational systems and technology. They will be expected to produce thorough, high-quality work. New ideas and concepts are also important but must be carefully analyzed and tested before being implemented.

When managing others, this person must be able to ensure policies and procedures are followed and time frames are met. To delegate effectively, they should provide structured opportunities for people to develop their own expertise, with the goal of building shared responsibility for high-quality work. As such, someone in this role should be comfortable providing coaching and training support.

This person must be comfortable operating within a pre-defined span of control. The ideal candidate is someone who fosters trust, demonstrates a sense of urgency, consistently hits quality standards, and makes decisions in support of company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead, train, and motivate the mitigation team to deliver excellent customer service and high-quality work.
• Oversee mitigation services including water damage, fire and smoke damage, mold remediation, board-ups, and environmental services.
• Ensure crews are prepared daily through morning huddles and ongoing communication.
• Meet with clients, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders to provide professional guidance and resolve issues.
• Re-inspect job sites for quality control and ensure projects are completed on budget and within standards.
• Manage inventory, equipment, and vehicle readiness.
• Serve as point of contact for customer concerns, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced education or certifications preferred.
• Previous leadership experience in restoration, construction, or related industry (2+ years preferred).
• IICRC certifications strongly preferred (Water, ASD, Mold, etc.).
• Experience with Xactimate, MICA, or similar restoration software a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime when needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely operate company vehicles and equipment.
