Overview

SERVPRO of Columbus/Starkville is part of a national leader in fire and water cleanup and restoration, helping property owners recover from disasters quickly and professionally. With a strong reputation for service excellence and rapid growth in the region, we are expanding our team to better serve the Columbus/Starkville area and surrounding communities.

We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to lead strategic growth efforts in Northeast Mississippi. This high-impact role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, fostering key relationships, and driving revenue growth. Ideal candidates will bring experience in sales—preferably in restoration, construction, or property management—and a passion for building meaningful partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Develop New Business

  • Identify and engage prospective clients through research, outreach, and networking.

  • Analyze market trends and align growth strategies with business goals.

Manage Client Relationships

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for key customers.

  • Maintain strong, ongoing communication to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Collaborate Across Teams

  • Partner with estimating and operations to support contract execution.

  • Align with marketing to launch targeted campaigns and initiatives.

Track and Report Performance

  • Establish sales goals and track KPIs.

  • Deliver regular performance updates to leadership.

Represent SERVPRO

  • Attend industry events, community functions, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness.

  • Establish yourself as a trusted representative of the SERVPRO brand in the Columbus/Starkville area.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Experience launching or expanding into new markets is a plus.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • CRM proficiency and Microsoft Office fluency.

  • Strong analytical and relationship-building abilities.

Attributes:

  • Highly self-motivated and results-driven.

  • Team-oriented but comfortable working independently.
