Overview: 

SERVPRO of Cypress, Texas, a leader in restoration services, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Large Loss Mitigation Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a core member of our restoration team, you will be responsible for overseeing large and complex loss mitigation projects, ensuring timely and effective restoration of properties damaged by fire, water, mold, and other disasters. The ideal candidate will have experience in the mitigation/restoration industry, excellent customer service skills, and a strong ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high standard of work. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Project Management: Oversee large loss mitigation projects, ensuring successful completion from start to finish, including initial assessment, scope of work development, and final restoration.
  • Estimate Development: Accurately assess damage and provide detailed estimates for mitigation work using industry standards and best practices.
  • Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the mitigation process, keeping them informed and managing expectations.
  • Team Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the efforts of field technicians, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure efficient and high-quality work.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the progress of restoration work and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Contract and Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that all estimates align with client needs and project requirements. Ensure timely invoicing and collection of funds per contract.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain a strong focus on safety by enforcing safe practices and inspecting job sites for potential hazards.
  • Customer Education: Educate clients on the mitigation process and ensure that they are aware of their options and the restoration timeline.
  • Documentation: Ensure that all required documentation is accurately completed, including contracts, liability waivers, and project-specific forms.

 

Qualifications and Skills:
 
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in the restoration industry or related field, with a focus on mitigation and large loss projects. Previous experience as a project manager, estimator, or in insurance adjusting is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in mitigation estimating software (e.g., Xactimate) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, crawling in confined spaces, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including wet, humid, or noisy job sites.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, staying on top of deadlines and budgets.
  • Safety Focus: Thorough understanding of safety standards in the restoration industry.
  • Certifications: IICRC certifications preferred (Water Damage Restoration, Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration, Mold Remediation). Additional certifications are a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
 
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and communicate.
  • Occasionally required to lift or move items up to 25 pounds.
  • Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions and occasional exposure to mechanical parts, high places, and hazardous materials (appropriate safety equipment provided)
