Position: Job Cost Accountant 
Reports To: CFO
Territory: Piedmont and Granite Falls office locations
 
Paul Davis is seeking an Accountant to work alongside our CFO, performing daily accounting tasks and providing support to the CFO as needed. We are looking for someone who is a TEAM player with strong customer service skills and a background in construction accounting, with previous construction job costing experience.

Key Responsibilities:
•        Review the creation of purchase orders and sub invoices.
•        Maintain subcontractor files.
•        Enter financial transactions into internal databases.
•        Create weekly reports for CFO and owner.
•        Maintain digital records for accounting and job costing.
•        Perform job costing on all projects and close out files within 48 hrs. of final payment posting.
•        Process Accounts Payable in a timely manner including verifying purchase order and job.
•        Issue monthly Accounts Receivable billings to our customers and conduct collection follow-ups/escalations as needed.
•        Assist with logistics purchases for on-site needs of the PM as needed.
·         Work with CFO on yearend close outs, 1099, tax preparation and company certification renewals.
·         Assistance with payroll prep, quarterly KPI execution and onboarding/offboarding of internal staff
·         Handle inbound calls, customer qualifying and scheduling if call volume is high 
·         Monthly reconciliations as requested.
•        Provide administrative support for customer support, file review, licensing and permitting as needed.
 
Qualifications:
·         5+ years of accounting experience required.
·         2+ years of construction accounting required.
·         5+ years of QuickBooks experience required.
·         3+ years of customer service required.
·         Previous work experience as accounting lead or staff accountant required.
·         Must have general working knowledge of GAAP procedures.
·         Previous experience with service-rendered collections and escalation processes.
·         Proven record of quality customer service care
·         Must have hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with demonstrated proficiency or higher level-experience with MS Excel. 
·         Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, ability to prioritize workload and strong organizational skills.
·         Mathematical aptitude, with ability to identify numerical errors. 
·         Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. 
 
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
•        Full time, 40+-hour work week

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
