Commercial Cleaning Supervisor

Covering Newport News and Hampton
Full-Time | 2pm - 10pm | $16-$17 an hour | Weekly Pay

Are you a natural leader who cares about maintaining high standards? Do you enjoy being hands-on and ensuring everything is just right? At ServiceMaster, we’re looking for a Janitorial Supervisor to lead by example and manage daily operations.

As a Janitorial Supervisor, your day starts by checking in with your teams at different sites. You’ll make sure they have everything they need to do their jobs well—tools, supplies, and support. You’ll also be the person to handle any problems, like last-minute client requests or issues on-site.

You’ll visit different locations to inspect the work and make sure it meets our high standards. You’ll help your team, train them when needed, and set clear expectations for the job. In the evenings, you’ll need to be flexible—helping cover shifts, managing urgent client needs, and preparing for the next day.

Communication is key in this role. You’ll stay in touch with your team and clients through calls, texts, and emails. You’ll check progress, plan for upcoming shifts, and make sure everyone is on the same page.

Why You'll Love Working With Us:

Family-Owned & Community-Focused:
We’ve been proudly serving our community for years, and our leadership team is made up of experienced leaders with 5 to 15 years of tenure with ServiceMaster. We're a tight-knit group that values dedication and teamwork.

Your Role Matters: Our supervisors and cleaners are the backbone of our success. "Our supervisors and cleaners are our greatest assets in achieving client satisfaction." – Mike, Director of Operations, 12 years.

Be a Leader: This role isn't just about overseeing—it’s about inspiring. You'll ensure top-notch client care through building visits, cleaning coverage, regular inspections, guiding cleaners, and training new hires. "I work together with my supervisors every day to prioritize and problem solve. I trust their solutions and ideas as we work toward the same goals. My supervisors are excellent role models for their teams." – Janice, Senior Area Manager, 15 years.

What You Bring to the Table:
  • Flexibility —because we know no two days are the same!
  • Strong communication skills in-person, on the phone, via text, and email.
  • Leadership experience that sets you apart.
  • Strong attention to detail and passion for serving others.
  • A valid Driver's License and reliable personal transportation.

  • Paid vacation, sick/personal time, and holidays.
  • A 401(k) plan with employer contribution.
  • Opportunities for growth through our training program.
  • Weekly pay and available overtime.
