Our company is seeking a Senior Property Estimator who is comfortable delivering creative solutions, negotiating scopes of work and estimates, has excellent communication skills, and can handle multiple projects.
 
 Job Summary

The Senior Property Estimator is responsible for managing a wide range of functions necessary to successfully obtain, bid and price construction projects. They are responsible for ensuring an accurate scope of work is created, delivering a consistent and complete estimate, and maintaining a high quality of service in all dealings with customers, clients, and resource providers involved in construction services.

Responsibilities:

      a.     Establish working relationships with customers.
      b.     Meet all standards set forth by the customer.
      c.     Educate customers on all constructions processes and how to make changes throughout the process if needed.
      d.     Ensure estimates meet client and insurance vendor’s needs.
Work with insurance adjusters to develop accurate scopes
      e.     Analyze labor, material and time requirements for each project appropriately achieve minimum gross profits margins determined by the company.
      f.     Create accurate sketches and initial scopes through use of Docusketch, photographs and 3rd party estimating software (Xactimate or Symbility)
      g.      Recognize project constraints or setbacks early in the process and explain these items to the homeowner.
      h.     Work closely with the reconstruction department to obtain sub-bids and building estimates for larger loss projects.
      i.     Create documents finalizing a well-organized project scope of work.
      j.     Complete estimates within insurance and company guidelines
      k.     Communicate and document and change orders and insurance supplements to the homeowner and reconstruction team
 
  
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years construction restoration estimating experience
  • Proficient use of Xactimate™ estimating software required
  • Proficient use of Symbility preferred
  • Superb customer service track record
  • Effective written and oral communication
  • Advanced math skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Team Player
 
Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours, and Travel Requirements 

This is a full-time position, working 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. This position may infrequently require longer hours. Travel is primarily local. However, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Compensation: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
