Are you an experienced janitorial manager looking for a supportive, team-oriented environment where your leadership can shine? At ServiceMaster, a local, family-owned business, we pride ourselves on creating a work culture that feels like home, with a strong focus on serving both our community and each other.

Who We Are:
Our team isn’t just employees—we're a close-knit group of professionals who care about each other’s success. With senior leadership that boasts 5 to almost 20 years of experience with ServiceMaster, we know how to foster growth and protect our people. We’re dedicated to maintaining high standards in everything we do, ensuring that both our clients and team members are set up for success.

"Our supervisors and cleaners are our greatest asset in achieving client satisfaction." – Mike, Director of Operations, 12 years

Your Role as a Senior Janitorial Manager:
In this key role, you will oversee the janitorial cleaning services for approximately 25 sites, most of which are serviced in the evenings after clients have left. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our high service standards are met by leading and supporting a team of supervisors and cleaners. This involves hands-on leadership—working alongside your team when necessary to teach, train, and provide coverage when needed.

What Sets Us Apart:

  • Strong Company Culture: We believe in open communication, trust, and mutual appreciation. Whether it's our clients, peers, or team members, relationships are at the heart of everything we do.
"Having worked with most of my clients for over 5 years, they feel like a part of my team. We build relationships on daily communication and trust." – Amy, Northside Senior Area Manager, 5 years
  • Health and Well-Being: We prioritize creating a healthy work environment where you feel valued, supported, and equipped to succeed. Our home office team ensures you have the technology, tools, and resources to thrive—whether through training, supplies, or a steady stream of applicants ready to join your team.
  • Hands-On Leadership: We believe in leading by example, working alongside our team members to ensure everyone feels supported and confident in their role. Your ability to inspire and develop your team is key to our success.
What You’ll Enjoy:

  • Company Vehicle, Laptop, and Cell Phone: All the tools you need to stay connected and efficient.
  • Flexible Workspaces: Office space in Newport News and our satellite office in Virginia Beach.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Paid holidays, accrued PTO, medical, dental, and vision insurance, maximum 401(k) benefits, and performance bonuses.
  • Work-Life Balance: While we value dedication, we also understand the importance of time off to recharge and refocus.
What We’re Looking For:

  • A minimum of 7 years of management experience (janitorial or housekeeping experience preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and industry-specific software and applications.
  • A leader with a passion for building strong teams, ensuring high service standards, and fostering long-term client relationships.
If you’re ready to lead in a healthy, community-focused environment where you can make a real impact, we want to hear from you. Apply today!
