Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Team. The responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end closing procedures. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate has experience collaborating with other members of business to ensure that transactions are accounted for accurately.
Responsibilities:

General Ledger & Month End:
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts
- Review bank accounts daily, entering data into QBO, and performing bank reconciliations
- Analyzing financial data and providing financial recommendations
- Collaborating with other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support
- Supporting the Chief Financial Officer, Controller, and other financial professionals in their duties as needed

Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable:
- Oversee the daily activities of the accounts payable and receivable functions
- Report weekly AR Aging and AP Aging to Management
- Ensure bills are being entered by the team appropriately and timely
- Review payables posted to general ledger to ensure proper coding
- Attending regular AR/AP review meetings with local offices and accounting staff

Expense Management:
- Review credit card expenses and identify areas of opportunity/cost savings, as well as ensure adherence to company policy
- Ensure proper coding of credit card transactions
- Perform month end reconciliation
- Review credit card statements

Other:
- Assist with annual 1099 processing.
- Assist with providing data for annual budget preparation.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support the audit process
- Manage the petty cash program.
- Assist with other accounting-related tasks as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
- 5+ years of experience as an accountant
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
