Job Position Description:
Supervisor responsibilities include organizing employee shifts, training and motivating team members. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all staff stays on task and complete all assignments to ServiceMaster standards. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of cleaning principles and team management abilities.
This is a part time position on second shift, typically a 3:00 p.m. start time and estimated 4 to 6 hours per evening.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with clients regarding services provided
  • Conduct regular site visits for quality assurance and with customer representative as required
  • Manage building budgets to include labor, products, supplies and equipment usage
  • Inspect facilities for quality assurance and safety monthly; directly address and correct deficiencies with onsite staff; produce and implement action plans, as needed
  •  Schedule, inspect and communicate completion of project work for facilities managed
  •  Ensure staffing is adequate for cleaning of each facility daily; guide and give direction to Float Team, as needed
  •  Review time keeping system daily for assigned facilities to ensure staffing arrived at each facility per the schedule; ensure alternate staff covered services at any facility where staff have not arrived
  • Provide janitorial staff direction regarding the performance of contract requirements or changes
  • Support employees by providing training and feedback
  • Follow up with employees to ensure completion of contract required tasks through daily inspections
  • Train new employees and perform training/coaching with current employees
  •  Complete personnel paperwork accurately and thoroughly and submit in a timely manner
  • Use cleaning supplies and equipment to keep assigned facility in a clean and professional state
  •  Respond to cleaning requests in a prompt and professional manner
  • Depending on staffing needs, complete routine cleaning tasks based on a task schedule, such as dusting, vacuuming, wet/dry mopping, wet cleaning, emptying trash, cleaning break rooms and restrooms
  • Treat clients and coworkers with dignity and respect
  • Tag and deliver any worn or broken equipment to the shop for repair
  •  Ensure adequate products, supplies and equipment are available to include placing orders, delivering and replenishing products, supplies and equipment to account sites 
  • Report facility maintenance needs to appropriate staff
  • Ensure janitorial closet is kept neat and organized
  •  Secure facilities, as required
  •  Follow and enforce all safety guidelines and facility guidelines and procedures are being followed; conduct monthly safety meetings with staff
  • Adhere to and enforce that company policies and procedures are being followed
  • Complete all required training
  • Attend in service meetings and/or trainings

  • Ability to read product labels and SDS
  • Ability to be on your feet for a minimum 4 to 8 hour shift (dependent on location)
  • Ability to use a backpack vacuum and other equipment in appropriate and safe manner
Qualifications and Physical Demands:
  • Minimum of one year experience in the janitorial field with a supervisory role
  • Previous experience with customer interaction
  • Travel between accounts is required
  • Reliable transportation and automobile insurance
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school graduate or equivalence certificate (GED)
  • Pass review of MVR
  • Pass review of background clearances
  • Pass review of substance testing, when applicable
  • Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching over head, reaching forward. Must be able to lift and and/or carry 25lbs.
  • Ability to read cleaning instructions
  • Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
