Team Shaw is in need of an experienced Collection Intake Specialist to support its growth initiatives and mission while maintaining a strong focus on personal and professional development. The Collector will verify the accuracy and completeness of customer information, including contact details and account status, review account histories to identify outstanding balances and previous collection activities, enter and update customer information in the collections management system, and Maintain detailed and accurate records of all communications and actions taken on accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Contact: Reach out to customers via phone, email, and mail to collect outstanding payments on overdue accounts.
- Payment Negotiation: Discuss payment options and negotiate payment plans with customers to resolve their outstanding balances.
- Account Management: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, payment agreements, and account statuses in our CRM system.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and other customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, state and federal regulations, and industry best practices related to collections and customer interactions.
- Performance Targets: Meet or exceed monthly collection goals and performance metrics set by the management team.
- What's Essential:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish in a plus
- Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Driven, efficient, and self-motivated.
- High attention to detail
- Strong organization and communication skills
