Position Summary
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership & Accountability
- Lead and manage Project Managers and Estimators
- Enforce adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SoP)
- Monitor and drive cycle-time KPIs and job stage progression
- Conduct weekly job reviews focused on:
- Budget vs. allowed hours
- Change order and supplement management
- Schedule adherence
- Profitability tracking
- Ensure accurate documentation in DASH, Xactimate, and internal systems
- Review and approve construction estimates for accuracy and scope completeness
- Ensure projects are executed within approved budgets
- Identify margin erosion early and implement corrective action
- Monitor labor efficiency and subcontractor performance
- Drive office-level production and profitability targets
- Oversee scheduling and resource allocation across all projects
- Ensure proper sequencing and trade coordination
- Enforce quality control standards and final inspections
- Ensure all work meets local building codes and carrier requirements
- Manage warranty and post-completion service issues
- Maintain high-level customer communication standards
- Support escalated customer issues when needed
- Ensure professional and effective communication with insurance carriers
- Protect company reputation through professionalism and follow-through
- Recruit, train, and develop Project Managers and Estimators
- Conduct performance evaluations and coaching
- Build a culture of accountability and execution
- Lead regular construction team meetings focused on KPIs and results
- 5+ years of construction management experience (insurance restoration preferred)
- Proven experience leading multiple concurrent residential construction projects
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of job cost controls
- Experience with Xactimate or insurance-based estimating platforms preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and team development experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
