SERVPRO of Winchester is Hiring a Fire Production Technician and Forklift Driver/Truck Loader!

SERVPRO of Winchester is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Fire Production Technician and Forklift Driver/Truck Loader. This role is crucial in our operations, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and efficient work to help our clients recover from fire damage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fire Production Technician Duties:

    • Inventory and load the work vehicle with necessary equipment, products, and supplies.
    • Prepare rooms/areas for work activities, including setting up staging areas and equipment.
    • Perform production processes as directed, adhering to safety and risk management guidelines.
    • Communicate with the crew chief and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
    • Perform end-of-day and end-of-job cleanup, ensuring the job site is left clean and orderly.
    • Maintain an organized warehouse space, including cleaning and maintaining the warehouse, office, and grounds.
    • Develop expertise in services, cleaning products, and equipment.

  • Forklift Driver/Truck Loader Duties:

    • Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks, ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials.
    • Load and unload materials and products from trucks and trailers.
    • Ensure accurate inventory control by keeping track of materials and products being loaded and unloaded.
    • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and loading area.
    • Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate loading and unloading activities.
    • Inspect and maintain the forklift and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • IICRC certifications preferred, but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license, required.
  • Valid forklift operator certification preferred.
  • Experience in cleaning, restoration, construction, production and operating a forklift.
  • Strong work ethic and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics), and work with/around cleaning agents.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Regularly lift 50 pounds independently, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Walk and stand for long periods, drive, sit, climb ladders, and work at ceiling heights.
  • Work in tight spaces (i.e., crawl spaces, attics) and perform repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects.
  • Work with and around chemicals and overhead.
  • Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and occasionally to extreme conditions such as heat and noxious odors.
  • Occasionally required to wear a respirator for safety.
