As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled project estimator - negotiator to join our team and contribute to our success.
This role has two main functions:
1-as a project estimator you will be building estimates for our projects through Xactimate. Knowing how to use this software will be key to your success in this portion of your role.
2-submitting estimates to clients, potential customers, and insurance carrier is the second portion of this role. Follow-up and negotiations will be a shared function with this role supervising an admin for assistance. All technology requirements are provided and as a company-any additional tools or technology that could aid in progress or quality will be provided. You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing a pivotal portion of our project management process are expected to have a strong leadership mentality with confidence in your daily job function. This includes excellent communication skills (written & verbal), a conflict-resolution mindset, strong organization, and capable of working in team oriented structure. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction, possess excellent customer service skills, and be adept at maintaining deadlines, timelines and schedules.
Project estimates:
- Serve as the main point of contact for the internal team around project estimates.
- Coordinate estimate priority based on clients interest or needs
- Manage admin resources, and timelines to ensure efficient estimate flow.
- Collaborate with the project management team to develop and maintain accurate and consistent estimates.
- Attend regular project meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination among all parties involved in the process.
- Track estimate timelines and report on key metrics to stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and address estimate conflicts or issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between team members and resolve estimate conflicts in a timely manner.
- Implement conflict resolution strategies to ensure project estimates are met and client satisfaction is maintained.
- Assist in dealing with insurance-related matters, including claims, documentation, and compliance.
- Coordinate with insurance providers and adjusters to ensure proper coverage and claim resolution.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including contracts, change orders.
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing client inquiries, concerns, and requests with admin.
- Ensure client satisfaction throughout the project by maintaining open lines of communication and addressing any issues proactively.
- Regularly update admin so that clients are aware of project progress and address any questions or concerns they may have.
A foundational understanding and expertise in Xactimate estimate software
- Previous experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.
- Capable of performing general email, CRM tools, various computer functions efficiently.
- Strong conflict resolution skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally and effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with insurance processes and requirements in the construction industry.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Proficient in project management tools and software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
