Position: Mold and Asbestos Technician for Restoration Company

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mold Technician to join our restoration company. As a Mold technician, you will be responsible for assessing, containing, and remediating mold and asbestos-related issues in residential and commercial properties. Your expertise in both mold and asbestos remediation will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough mold and asbestos inspections to identify the presence and extent of mold growth and asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in properties.
Assess and document the sources of moisture or water intrusion causing mold growth and the location of ACMs.
Develop comprehensive mold and asbestos remediation plans and provide accurate cost estimates to clients.
Safely and efficiently remove mold-contaminated materials and ACMs, following proper containment and disposal protocols.
Utilize specialized equipment and techniques to clean, treat, and encapsulate affected areas.
Install and monitor air filtration systems to maintain a safe and clean environment during the remediation process.
Conduct post-remediation inspections to verify the successful removal of mold and asbestos and ensure the property meets established standards.
Provide clear and detailed reports to clients, outlining the findings, actions taken, and recommendations for preventing future mold and asbestos issues.
Stay up to date with industry developments, best practices, and regulations related to mold and asbestos remediation.
Qualifications:

Valid mold remediation license or certification.
Previous experience working as a Mold and Asbestos Technician or in similar roles within the restoration industry.
In-depth knowledge of mold types, asbestos-containing materials, their characteristics, and proper remediation methods.
Familiarity with relevant safety protocols and regulations for mold and asbestos remediation.
Ability to effectively use and maintain specialized equipment for mold and asbestos remediation.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and protocols accurately.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members.
Physical fitness and the ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
