Restoration 1 of Chicago Southland is a family-owned restoration company looking for a working Team Lead—someone who can lead from the front, not from the sidelines.

This is not an entry-level role. We need a hands-on leader who knows mitigation work, understands standards, and can keep jobs moving while taking care of customers and the crew.

What You’ll Do

Lead mitigation jobs (water, fire, mold, odor) from setup to dry-out
Direct and support technicians on site
Communicate clearly with homeowners, adjusters, and property managers
Set and monitor equipment properly (air movers, dehus, containment, etc.)
Ensure work is completed to IICRC standards and company expectations
Maintain job documentation (photos, notes, moisture readings)
Keep the truck, equipment, and job sites clean and professional

What We’re Looking For

2+ years restoration/mitigation experience (required)
Prior leadership or lead-tech experience preferred
Strong understanding of water mitigation processes and dry-out principles
IICRC certifications (WRT required; ASD/FSRT/MRST a plus—or willingness to earn)
Valid driver’s license & clean driving record
Calm under pressure, professional with customers, firm but fair with crew
Someone who takes ownership and finishes what they start
