 Registered Apprenticeship
Our apprenticeship is registered with The Virginia Department of Labor and Industry and will prepare you for more significant opportunities with our company upon successful completion. Once completed, you will hold that license wherever you choose to live.

Our job is to assist in putting people's lives back to normal as soon as possible following fire or water disasters. Perhaps you have seen our ads on local and national television? Or you have seen our bright green trucks and vans throughout the Roanoke Valley. Those are our team members helping families and businesses get back on their feet. We clean up and restore homes and businesses.
 
 Do you like being a part of a team?
Our team-based work environment is designed to give you first-hand opportunities to see disasters and teach you how to help. Upon completing the 2000-hour program, our goal is to get you started in a career path toward supervision and management within SERVPRO® Roanoke, Montgomery, and Pulaski counties. 
Safety – our teams assess situations and determine the safest and best methods to help. You will learn to evaluate conditions and ensure the environment is safe for everyone, and you will understand and follow safety and risk management guidelines. We will teach you driving skills using company vehicles when you are 18 and have a valid Virginia Driver's license. 

Responsibilities:
Travel to and from job sites with team members. 
 Assist in identifying the correct equipment to be used on a job. 
 Organize and load the vehicles fast and efficiently for the team to help the family or business.
 Create the staging area and equipment. 
 Maintain the cleanliness of the job site. 
 Perform production process following SERVPRO® according to Virginia Department of Labor & Industry standards and policies. 
 Enhance your communication skills with team members and crew chiefs. 
 Assess and clean equipment. 
 Assist in returning equipment.
 Communicate to leaders the status of equipment for repairs.  
 Learn basic customer service communication skills and have opportunities to enhance communication skills. 
 Earn additional hours and income on weekends. 

Qualifications:
Must be enrolled in high school in Roanoke County, Roanoke City, or Salem High School and registered with respective school as a Workforce Readiness student. 
Must have parents or guardians' support to participate in the program.
Must successfully complete a background check subject to applicable laws.
Must be goal-oriented. 


 
 Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and lift to 100 pounds with assistance.
 Walking and standing for long periods on the job site and sitting in a vehicle during travel. There will be some climbing dependent upon the job site. 
 Repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects.
